Wood-Henges come in Different Styles
The Wood-Henge Classic
The Wood-Henge Classic is curved on both sides for easy rubbing and flipping through your fingers. This is the Wood-Henge that started it all and it comes in about 50 different exotic woods. The majority of Wood-Henges are created in this style. They range in width and thickness, but all are about 1 7/8 - 2 inches (47mm - 51mm) long. Width ranges from 3/4 to 7/8 inches (19mm - 22mm). Thickness in the middle ranges from 3/16 - 1/4 inches (4.8mm - 6.4mm). All Wood-Henges are shaped entirely by hand so each one has uniquely different dimmensions, but most fall within the measurements above. |

The Wood-Henge Curve
The same as the Wood-Henge classic with two curved sides except I have added another surface on the side to rub or fidget with. Three working sides in total. Also, the size is a little thicker which allows for enough room to have another surface to rub and fidget with. This Wood-Henge is about 150% thicker than "the Classic" model. The length is about the same as the Wood-Henge Classic however, all are slightly on the wider side - about 7/8 to 1 inch wide. This gives more stability when rubbing the one side of the Wood-Henge curve. The Curve still flips nicely through your fingers. |

The Wood-Henge Tetra
The same as the Wood-Henge Curve, but now with four curved working surfaces to rub or fidget with. The dimensions are the same as the Curve, but now BOTH sides are curved and with the additional width, they are easy to rub. One side curves in and the other curves out. This then changes the overall shape of the Wood-Henge to a true curve. The Tetra also flips beautifully through your fingers. Like the Wood-Henge Curve, the Tetra is about 150% thicker than "the Classic" models. This gives more stability when rubbing the BOTH sides of the Wood-Henge Tetra. The Tetra curves have to all be done by hand and it has taken awhile to devise a technique so it looks proportional and flows nicely. |

The Wood-Henge Table Top Edition
The Wood-Henge Table Top is a wider and thicker piece, but usually about the same length as all the other Wood-Henge styles. Designed just to be left on a table top for anyone to use. Still fits in your pocket or purse and it still can be moved through the fingers, but not as quite as easily as the Wood-Henge Classic, Curve or Tetra. Shaped like the Wood-Henge classic with two working surfaces, but some have been made with three working surfaces (the Curve). A fun piece for all family members and friends in a non-covid era. This piece does normally come with a stand given its size. |

So what's with the Notch at one end on some Wood-Henges?
Some Wood-Henge Tetras and Wood-Henge Curves come with a notch at one end. Why? Well, it is somewhat experimental both functionally and aesthetically. Functionally, when you rub the side(s) on the Tetra and the Curve, the notch locks into the side of a finger making it more stable. Aesthetically, with some Wood-Henges it is kind of neat looking. Generally, if I add a notch, then I make one of the ends a little higher than the other end, but not always. Some Wood-Henge Tetras and Curves look better without the notch, so I won't add one. Notches are also time consuming to add as they have to be done using a dremel so there is generally an extra cost for these pieces. |
